GOLF ROADSHOW AT TIGNE POINT

We are pleased to inform you that the PGA of Malta in coordination with the Malta Golf Association has managed to bring to Malta a Golf Roadshow that will be held from 9:30 am onwards at Pjazza Tigné, Tigné Point, Sliema on Friday 13, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th December 2013. This wonderful event is made possible through the courtesy of The European Tour, The Ryder Cup European Development Trust, The R&A and The PGAs of Europe.

The aim of the activity is to promote the game to people of all ages and encourage them to get into golf and we are lucky that the event is coming to Malta at possible the busiest shopping weekend ahead of the holidays and will be set up at one of Malta's most renowned shopping malls with the maximum possible exposure to children and adults alike.

Three inflatable golf nets will be set up at Pjazza Tigné and, in each inflatable golf net, members of the public will be offered FREE 5 - 10 minute golf lessons.

The MALTA GOLF ASSOCIATION was founded in 2006 and acts as the governing body for the sport of golf in the Maltese Islands and observes the Rules of Golf and the Rules of Amateur Status as laid down by the R&A of St. Andrews.

The Association is a non-profit organization run by golfers for the benefit of golfers with membership predominantly open to amateur golfers who are members of a golf club or golf society within the geographical area of the association irrespective of gender, colour and religion.

The Association is affiliated to the R&A; the International Golf Federation and the European Golf Association. Locally it is registered with the Maltese Olympic Committee, Sport Malta, the Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sports and the Commissioner of Voluntary Organisations.

The management of the affairs of the Association is vested in the Executive Council, in accordance with the provisions and regulations of a Statute.
