BERNHARD ABELE TO PLAY IN THE INTERNATIONAL SLOVENIAN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP 2012

Bernhard Abele, a member of the National Junior Squad and a junior member of the Royal Malta Golf Club will be participating in the above mentioned Championships that will be held at the Livada Golf Club in Moracske Toplice, Slovenia between the 8th to 10th August.

Organised by the Golf Association of Slovenia, the format of the Championship is stroke play over 54 holes.

Having just turned 16 in February, Bernhard will play in the 16 years and under bracket.

This will be Bernhard's first experience in an International Championship. Please join us to wish Bernhard every success and enjoyment in this tournament.

The MALTA GOLF ASSOCIATION was founded in 2006 and acts as the governing body for the sport of golf in the Maltese Islands and observes the Rules of Golf and the Rules of Amateur Status as laid down by the R&A of St. Andrews.

The Association is a non-profit organization run by golfers for the benefit of golfers with membership predominantly open to amateur golfers who are members of a golf club or golf society within the geographical area of the association irrespective of gender, colour and religion.

The Association is affiliated to the R&A; the International Golf Federation and the European Golf Association. Locally it is registered with the Maltese Olympic Committee, Sport Malta, the Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sports and the Commissioner of Voluntary Organisations.

The management of the affairs of the Association is vested in the Executive Council, in accordance with the provisions and regulations of a Statute.
