RMGC PLAYERS AT THE INTERNATIONAL PAIRS

Gernot Schmid and Ann MacDonald have decided to accept the proposal we received from Golf Partners Worldwide and will represent Golf Malta in the International Pairs World Finals that will be held at the Marriott La Sella Golf & Spa Resort Costa Blanca Spain between the 1st and 5th November 2016.

The format will be a four-ball better ball Stableford event over 36 holes played off three quarters handicap, with a maximum exact handicap allowance for men of 24 and for ladies of 32 preceded by a practice round.

The MALTA GOLF ASSOCIATION was founded in 2006 and acts as the governing body for the sport of golf in the Maltese Islands and observes the Rules of Golf and the Rules of Amateur Status as laid down by the R&A of St. Andrews.

The Association is a non-profit organization run by golfers for the benefit of golfers with membership predominantly open to amateur golfers who are members of a golf club or golf society within the geographical area of the association irrespective of gender, colour and religion.

The Association is affiliated to the R&A; the International Golf Federation and the European Golf Association. Locally it is registered with the Maltese Olympic Committee, Sport Malta, the Authority for Integrity in Maltese Sports and the Commissioner of Voluntary Organisations.

The management of the affairs of the Association is vested in the Executive Council, in accordance with the provisions and regulations of a Statute.
