SAY NO! TO DOPING

13/11/2012

Through our colleagues at the Maltese Olympic Committee, we are informed that WADA has produced a series of 15-second video clips to help drive its ‘Say NO! To Doping’ awareness campaign which can be viewed on WADA’s Digital Library and on WADA’s YouTube channel.

The four short clips will be broadcast at WADA events and during WADA presentations up to and including during the World Conference on Doping in Sport in Johannesburg in November 2013.

The Say NO! To Doping Campaign has been embraced by more than 40 anti-doping organizations for their awareness and education programs. WADA hopes that the clips will be used as widely as possible to deliver the message that success in the sporting arena can only be achieved through hard work, dedication, respect for your fellow competitors, and respect for the rules of sport.

Furthermore, the Malta Sports Council has made us aware of the Malta Government Legal Notices that regulate Anti-Doping in Malta. The Malta Sports Council has also published a number of pertinent leaflets/documents. Anyone interested to have a copy of these publications should contact the MGA or the National Anti-Doping Program Coordinator at the Malta Sports Council directly.

We remind all our affiliated golfers that our sport is also governed by these provisions and that anyone could be tested even on a national level and especially more so when playing an international prestigious tournament.
